​As a freshman at IUPUI, I am currently enrolled as a pre-nursing students. As of now I have certifications in CPR, First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and as a Certified Nurse Aid. I was able to get these all last year and begin to work as a CNA to start my healthcare journey. My main goal as of now, is to be enrolled into the nursing programmed next year. I have always known I wanted to become a nurse for as long as I can remember, but I didn't know what to do with that degree. It made me nervous I was picking the wrong career, so I begin to do research into all the different types of nursing and thats where I first learned about cosmetic nursing. I went down a rabbit hole and spend so much time watching videos on how to become one and what they do and fell in love with it. The path I want to take now is so clear and it makes all this studying and difficulties worth it because I can see my end goal in sight and I am so excited to reach it.

​My main career goal as of now, is to get my QMA license.  With this, I would get experience with passing meds as well as learning different types of medication and what they do. Being able to get this license will give me the hands on experience I need to be a better equipped nurse in the future. This is important to me because its the starting blocks of my career, and if I am able to push through the stress and difficulties this may bring, I can push through it again and again as I keep moving up.
